Built in 1810, Goytre Wharf is now an 8-acre attraction alongside the canal, comprising a visitor centre, restaurant (The Waterside Rest T:), canoe and boat hire (Red Line Boats T:), marina, aqueduct and restored limekilns. Other features include interactive interpretation, computers explaining the history and ecology, brass rubbings trail, literacy sculpture trail, picnic area, children''s slide, gift shop and tourist information. Turn off A4042 at Llanover village, south of Abergavenny, and head west for 1 1/2 miles.
